Navvion

Cloud Monitoring

From site gateway to live dashboard.

A managed telemetry pipeline: the gateway publishes Sparkplug B over MQTT, the cloud stores and processes every signal, and dashboards update in near real time.

Architecture

Three hops. No black boxes.

Every deployment follows the same simple path — devices to gateway, gateway to cloud, cloud to every screen that needs it.

01

Site

BMS, PCS, meters, and sensors connect to the Navvion edge gateway over SunSpec, Modbus, and CAN.

02

Cloud

TLS-encrypted MQTT into the broker, time-series storage, and the analytics that power health and alarms.

03

Anywhere

Web dashboards, the mobile app, and APIs read the same live data — one source of truth.

What You Get

Monitoring as a managed service.

No servers to run, no pipelines to babysit — connect the gateway and the data flows.

Hosted gateway management

Gateways are provisioned, monitored, and updated from the cloud — connectivity issues surface as alerts, not mysteries.

Per-asset dashboards

Every site gets live dashboards for power, energy, state of charge, temperatures, and alarms — down to rack level.

Multi-tenant access

Owners, operators, installers, and Navvion service each see exactly their scope — no more, no less.

Retention and export

Telemetry is retained for analysis and warranty evidence, with CSV export and scheduled reports built in.

Protocols

Open protocols, end to end.

The pipeline speaks the standards your equipment already speaks.

Security & Ownership

Your data, encrypted and yours.

A managed pipeline shouldn't mean a black box — here's exactly how your telemetry is protected and who can reach it.

Encrypted in transit

TLS on every gateway-to-cloud connection, with per-site MQTT authentication.

Scoped access

Role-based, multi-tenant access — owners, operators, installers, and Navvion service see only their assets.

You own the telemetry

Export anytime via CSV, scheduled reports, or the REST API — your data leaves with you.

No gaps in the record

Edge store-and-forward buffers during outages and backfills on reconnect.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do I need a Navvion gateway?

Navvion systems ship with a gateway included. For mixed sites, the same gateway ingests any device it can reach over SunSpec, Modbus, or CAN.

Does it work with third-party inverters and meters?

Yes. Devices that speak SunSpec or Modbus are mapped into the platform alongside Navvion equipment.

What happens when the site loses connectivity?

The gateway buffers telemetry locally and forwards it when the connection returns — no gaps in the record.

Who owns the data?

You do. Your telemetry is yours to view, export, and take with you at any time.

Can I connect my own tools?

Yes — a REST API and scheduled exports let you feed BI tools, billing systems, or your own applications.
