The pre-commissioning checklist is worked with your installer or EPC; commissioning is scheduled once the site verifies ready.
Safety & isolation
A permit-to-work is opened. Lockout, isolation, and authorization steps are executed and recorded before energization.
Energization & testing
Staged energization with protection and functional tests per the versioned protocol — every reading recorded.
Punch list
Deviations are logged, classified, and either closed on site or accepted with the owner's explicit sign-off.
Acceptance & handoff
Acceptance is signed against the punch list, and the as-built record — settings, firmware, serials, test results — hands off into Navvion APM.

Common questions.
Can our own team commission the system?
Commissioning is led by Navvion or a credentialed commissioning partner. The protocol and the safety regime are non-negotiable, because the warranty baseline and the monitoring baseline both depend on them.
What happens if the site isn't ready on the day?
The readiness review exists to prevent exactly that. If a mobilized visit still finds blockers, we work the punch list on site where possible and reschedule the remainder.
What goes into the as-built record?
Final configuration and protection settings, firmware versions, serial numbers, recorded test readings, and the closed punch list — the same record APM monitoring starts from.
Does commissioning include utility witness tests?
Where the interconnection agreement requires witnessed tests, they run as part of the protocol and we coordinate scheduling with the utility.
When does the warranty start?
At acceptance sign-off, based on the as-built record — commissioning is what activates coverage.
How long does on-site commissioning take?
A single C&I cabinet is typically energized and tested in a day once the site is verified ready; containerized and utility-scale systems run multi-day per the protocol.
What happens to the punch list after acceptance?
Remaining minor items are tracked to closure post-acceptance in the same record, visible to the owner in APM — no item is lost at handoff.
